Cochran’s Stone Masonry & Timberframing also restores timber frame structures and log buildings. We have many structures that have been relocated by our crew. Cochran's Stone Masonry & Timberframing can document your building, photograph it, catalog the components, disassemble it, and relocate the structure to your site.

In the event that your log or timber frame structure has broken, missing, or rotten components, Cochran's Stone Masonry & Timberframing has many salvaged logs and timbers to repair or replace the damaged section. Often, on a project, not the entire log or beam needs replacing. Cochran's Stone Masonry & Timberframing is careful to save as much of the original fabric as possible, repairing or replacing with matching material, and using joints that match the structure. When new wood is needed, Cochran's Stone Masonry & Timberframing can mill the wood to the exact dimensions and often can acquire the wood from the owner’s property, if available, and mill on location with our portable saw mill.

Additionally, Cochran's Stone Masonry & Timberframing manufactures new timber frame structures. Working with the owner or architect, we can design the frame to meet your needs. Drawings are provided that show where joints are located and how they are formed and a scaled model is assembled. The model and the drawings show exactly how the frame will look and “feel” to the client.

Cochran's Stone Masonry & Timberframing has many different varieties of wood to choose from as well as salvaged timbers, and can finish the wood in several ways to achieve the look that is desired, from hand hewn to finely finished, generally Cochran's Stone Masonry & Timberframing provides the following service: we will help with the design, acquire the timbers, provide the mortise and tennoning work in our facility, transport the frame to your location, erect the frame, and wrap the frame in structural insulated panels.
